Lynda Blackmon Lowery, Elspeth Leacock and Susan Buckley, authors of Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom: My Story of the 1965 Selma Voting Rights March, were named an honoree for the 2016 Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Medal. This award was announced on Jan. 11, by the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), during the ALA Midwinter Meeting held Jan. 7-12, 2016, in Boston.
